The Peaky Blinders were the infamous gang who earned their respect through the fear of the people. With the blades sewn into their flat caps and the weapons tucked into their jackets, people bowed their heads when passing them in the streets. You were considered lucky to have not had a run in with any of the three elder Shelby brothers. Arthur was the eldest. He was known for his fighting. You would often find him in the ring against somebody who was not his size. He went mad during the war and his return was nothing hit a relief for his mind. But when thinking he had finally escaped the war, one had started in his head. Arthur Shelby was his own enemy. Thomas was the second eldest - the most feared. He had a head for business and more common sense than his older brother. He had icy eyes which very rarely softened at the sight of anything. He was known for his trait of being unmerciful and careless. Despite being the second eldest, he was the brother who held the power. The brother who controlled the rest of them. John was the youngest of the three and arguably the softest. With his wonky smile and cheeky remarks, many of the girls in Small Heath found themselves falling at his feet. He would often find himself in trouble for acting childish. He didn't care too much for the business of the gang. He cared for the respect it brought their name. He enjoyed the thrill. Harvey Ellis grew up in Small Heath, hearing the tales of the Peaky Blinders. Having been friends with the second youngest Shelby brother, Harvey finds himself becoming a Blinder. What he didn't know was that this would only anger his father more than he already was. Things got worse for him - with his confusion regarding his sexuality, it led to him seeking comfort in the only sister of the Shelby family after she cleaned his wounds. After one night spent together, Ada falls pregnant. Frightened, Ada begs that he stays despite not loving him. It is then that she finds out why he is hesitant to do so. Knowing it was a mistake from both ends, Harvey agreed to stay after Ada said she would keep his secret. And despite their attempts at being parents, Ada can't help but notice the way Harvey cannot let John Shelby go. And the way John looks at Harvey without even realising. Forcing herself to push it aside, she begins to understand properly what is happening. No words spoken - many exchanged glances - one story to be told. ( oc x oc ) 𝐅𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐒𝐂𝐀 π’π‡π„π‹ππ˜ - the youngest Shelby sister was the only sibling that you could look at and say "no, she isn't related to those Shelby bastards." Although she shared the same brunette locks as her sister Ada and the same blue eyes as her brother Tommy, she did not share the same attitudes. Francesca was an anxious girl. And that only worsened when her brothers left for war. Her second eldest brother, Tommy, was a God in her eyes. She idolised him. Why? Nobody knew. But there was something about him. And for her.. Tommy loved her like she was his own daughter. They had a bond not even the strongest of men could destroy. They were cut from the same cloth. 𝐀𝐅𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐖𝐀𝐑, - Francesca finds that her closest and only friend, George, a boy who came from the richer side of Birmingham, had returned from the countryside. He was the type of boy all the girls would fawn over. Golden hair and blue eyes. Except, he didn't care for any of them. He cared for his best friend: Francesca Shelby. Or - Frances, as he called her. He was her only friend. Being older and, well, liked by most, he found it was his duty to look after her during such a hostile time. But they seemed to be blind to the fact that they were more than friends. In some way, they were more. They didn't know it but everybody else did.

Dorothy Monroe is a petite woman with a heart too big for her chest. She's pure, kind, she looked at the world and determined all the colours of nature were miracles and needed to be remembered. She's loved photography ever since her father brought a camera home and even had a gift with the newly designed lenses ever since she could wrap her small hands around the clunks of metal. Thomas Shelby: gangster; and war hero; he reads the devils script as if it were the morning newspaper - the list will go on. I don't need to say much more, you already know him. The Shelby family, as part of Tommy's expansion plan, bought a large area of the woods on the outskirts of Small Heath, far away from the Birmingham smog, there they built safe houses and kept heavy machinery; maybe even once they kept a large crate of stolen guns, supposedly belonging to the Government. Unbeknownst to Dorothy, who stumbled around the woods (a bulky camera in hand), she had explored the woods many times, taking photos of all the things that shined bright enough, but had never come across the peculiar buildings that held many dangers. That is, of course, until she knocks upon one of the doors, ready to give an earful to whoever had built over this precious patch of land, only to come face to face with one Thomas Shelby. -loosely follows the plot of season 1- *disclaimer* I do not own the Peaky Blinders or any of Steven Knights characters, only the story of Dorothy and her own plot line. This trope is cliche and overused, but idc, I like it.
