Sonic's friend stood by your side, a level of concern that made you think they've known each other for years painting his features. "He's all alone out there ... who knows what could happen?"
Maddie and Tom joined the two of you, watching as their hedgehog kid disappeared into the horizon. Taking a deep breath, you stared intently at the bright beacon of green light, observing how it twinkled like an otherworldly star. Determination suddenly sparked within you. 

"Not for long."

One full year had past since the events that transpired within Green Hills.

One complete year you had been living in Dakota. 
Whilst life had become rather flavourless, you began to see some colour flood back into your world after becoming aware of a very unexpected wedding invitation. 
Thrilled at the chance of reuniting with Sonic, you quickly board one of the last planes to Hawaii; eager to see him in person once again. 

Unbeknownst to you, the hedgehog won't be the only familiar face you'd encounter.

'Common Enemy' [Sonic 3 Inspired Fic] by Real_ShadowHedgehog

Having come from Mobius, a once thought-to-be fictional world in which all of the Classic "Sonic The Hedgehog" characters live, a new super-powered, female Hedgehog arrives on Earth, looking to run away as she was being tracked down by echidna warriors. She soon finds herself hiding amongst the forests of what she later learns is "Green Hills" Montana before being spotted by another Hedgehog. As well as his family consisting of a two-tailed fox, echidna and two humans. Tom and Maddie. They get to know each other a bit, explaining each other's stories before being grouped together by an organization titled "G.U.N." and introduced to a new common enemy amongst the newly formed underdogs group, Shadow The Hedgehog. The group all go through highs and lows to keep this new common enemy at bay before a saddening past is revealed. The new female hedgehog makes it her new mission to keep this new enemy, who is swayed by heartbreak and pain and being used for something far greater beyond just simple revenge, at bay with hardened banter, endless ass-kicking and terrible, downright awful flirting and talk-me-downs before being discovered to hold a great power, one similar to the black and red hedgehog she was tasked to keep busy alongside others. Then, a new, odd, love-hate relationship starts to form between the two hedgehogs. It sparks and flares just as a huge revelation comes to light which requires the strengths of all 'alien' hedgehogs, humans, foxes and echidnas alike. All of the furry, non-furred and spiked friends then team up and take down those who deceived and manipulated.
