Kya is now taken captive to the Fire Nation and faced with choosing herself over her beliefs. Siding with Azula for a better chance at survival Kya suffers with the torment that if living within the Royal Palace walls, and reminded every day of the pain she's facing for loving Zuko. Along the way she meets someone who helps her learn that she never regretting a thing. Realizing the only thing she can keep trusting is change.

It is a time of prosperity for most, but the crimes commited during the war couldn't be reversed. Benders were taken away from their families, people were slaughtered, their belongings, homes and land taken away. This, had been the instance when it came to the northwest part of the Earth Kingdom, that had went on to become the Fire Nation colonies. The Avarar will need the help of a companion more than any other time, and there is no better person to aid him than the secret waterbender that's part of the Fire Nation fleet, the woman who risked her own life to get him to safety, even though this had been the first time they had met in their lives.
