"That's how IceWings are supposed to act," Shiver hissed.

"But you're not any normal IceWing," Atlas said. "You're our Shiver."

"Well someday, I'm gonna have to be," Shiver explained. "When we end the war, and I get to live with my family."

She could already see it now. Her family welcoming her back with open arms, the tribe hailing her as a hero.

Oh, she couldn't wait to be free from the rock they called a home.

For as long as Shiver has lived, she and her friends were given one purpose: To repeat the successes of ancient history and end the war between Pyrrhia and Pantala. But before she can do any of that, Shiver must learn how to be a proper IceWing. It's what her tribe would expect if her, isn't it? How else is she meant to make her lost family proud?

When the dragonets are captured and brought to the exact frozen wasteland Shiver was meant to call home, she soon learns that the perfect, lavish lifestyle described in the scrolls may be nothing but fantasy. NOTE: The following is a fanfiction inspired by Tui T Sutherland's "Wings of Fire" saga. "Wings of Fire" does not belong to me, and much of the material included in this story is fanon, not canon, though several canon characters will be making appearances throughout the story.
