"I never wanted this! I didn't ask for this!" she shouts banging her fists against the brick wall. I wince as I watch pieces of brick fall from the holes she made. Slowly creeping along the wall I try to move past her without her knowing. "I-i never asked for this life..." She said as she started sobbing. I stopped moving and watched as she sobbed, never before has anyone ever heard of a member of one of the highest feared and respected royal vampire families to ever show human emotions especially one deemed weakening such as crying. The Drexel Family was known to be the coldest of them all and yet here is the princess of the Drexel family, crying right in front of me. I felt bad for the teenage vamp. Thinking back on it, I still feel bad for her. Her parents shunned her for what she did. They called her a disgrace to the Drexel name. It has been 350 years since vampires became known to the human population and after a few wars that left the human race at a bit more than half the original population, the government figured it was time to try and coexist with them instead of killing each other. They have their higher royal ranks that govern their kind and we have our government. Life has been somewhat peaceful for the past 150 with minimal stirs of angry mobs and bad vampire gangs here and there. Everything was peaceful in and out of my life. That was until I met Lyra Drexel, and the crime she committed against me will go down in history. After all, a royal performing the switch ritual because she fell in love with a human it's unheard of. And now i am uncovering a lot of things about this vampire council, and none of it is a good thing for the sake of humans. I just have one thing on my mind...how screwed am i?
