In almost every werewolf story, the Alpha King is portrayed as someone heartless and lonely, without a mate.
This is different for Alerick Rogers, the new Alpha King, atleast the heartless part. He is kind but left with the sad tragedy of not having a mate.
With running a whole kingdom, he doesn't have time to search for his mate until a pack asks for help from his kingdom.
Erica Baker doesn't have time for the world of werewolves. She is focused on finding her true place in the world. She is not fazed that the Alpha King is coming to help her pack until they finally meet.
