My love letter to DDLC. Having parents with connections might have been a curse disguised as a blessing. Settling in at Tojo High for your (japanese) final year of high school as your parents take care of the Italian ambassador's security looked like the chance for a dedicated weeb to enjoy the school life you'd only seen in manga and the like - notwithstanding the almost nonexistent cost of cutting the relationships with your classmates short -but will that really be all? Renting a small house in Yokosuka, just short of Yokohama, and attend school there. All normal, except getting swept up with the antics of four girls that really needed a therapist. Monika O'Hara, the military base kid who everyone admires - with the elegance of a foreigner. Sayori Fujimoto, who struggles to call everything truly hers. Natsuki Honda, who is accustomed to having the whole world against her. Yuri Iwatani, who really can't seem to contemplate other people's company as something truly positive. Retelling of Doki Doki Literature Club. Inspired in spirit by the mods Doki Doki SNAFU and Doki Doki Within. No breaking of fourth walls, but may contain mature and sensitive topics. Coming in 2023, just like Solo Leveling. I'd expect Solo Leveling to be actually waited for, though. Artwork on the cover not mine - credits to u/amanita-ocreata for the post on the DDLC subreddit and to @x_anp on Twitter for the drawing itself. All the credits and heartfelt thanks to Dan Salvato and his team for having created this incredible game, and to Monika for making it not just a visual novel.
