What do you do when you start hearing voices, telling you horrible, awful things? What do you do when you've never had a real home, and don't have anyone to help you? What do you do when you've been abused for the majority of your life, bouncing from abusive foster home to abusive foster home? Such is the life of Tommy Innit, a young fourteen year old teenager with a traumatic past. When Tommy is taken in by a family of three, Tommy finds it hard to trust them, especially once the middle child, Wilbur, makes it clear that Tommy isn't wanted in his new family. What will Tommy do? Will he get the help he deserves, or will his new family fall apart as quickly as it was thrown together?

Wilbur is a young, trans masc teen. He is out to his parents, and they fully support him. They've bought him binders, let him cut his hair, and gotten him other things to help him transition. The town they live in though? Not very supportive. When they first noticed Wilbur out in public with his parents, people thought they had adopted, only to find out that he was indeed the young "girl" that happily ran around the small town with the other kids. They weren't too happy. The whole town, although small, is very homophobic and transphobic. Wilbur and his parents are the only people that are part of/support the LGBTQ+ community. On September 14, 2009, on Wilbur's thirteenth birthday, he and his parents happily spend the day together in their small home. However that happy day turned into a not-so-happy night. Two unidentifiable people break into their home, kill Wilbur's parents, and abduct him. All because he's trans. He blames only himself. ~~~ TW// cussing Homophobia/transphobia Murder Kidnapping Misgendering Deadnaming Eating disorder Abuse etc... ~~~ I know that's not Wilbur's actual birthday but he hasn't said when it actually is sooooo ye just deal with it. ~~~ Yayayayayaya another trans!mcyt AUUUUU!!!! As if I haven't already made two separate trans!Tommy AUs, and a trans!Ranboo AU with a squeal/book 2..... Who caresssssss? ~~~ Also, first time making a Wilbur AU!!! Unless you wanna count "The Morning After I Killed Myself" as a Wilbur AU, even though it was just a vid I found on YT and decided to write in Wattpad and use him for it. ~~~ If Wilbur says anything about not wanting to be trans and stuff in stories/AUs, I'll replace his character with like- Y/N or someone (。•́‿•̀。) (Idk if he has or not already so pls don't attack me if he has) ~~~ Started: November 18, 2022 Finished: December 17, 2022 (Lol almost exactly one month)

'Before we leave, I was wondering something... I noticed that your social worker called you Will and I suppose I'm wondering which name you preferred?' Wilbur was surprised that he noticed such a small thing, but he supposed it accounted for the surprise that he had noticed earlier. 'Oh, I prefer Wilbur if that's okay sir. My social worker always forgot to call me Wilbur and I stopped correcting him a while back.' He replied, choosing to ignore the feeling of anxiety at the realisation that was the most he had talked throughout their meeting. 'Alright mate. Oh, and please call me Phil. Sir makes me sound older than I actually am.' OR A fluff to angst to fluff adoption AU where Wilbur Soot gets adopted into the SBI household just before his 18th birthday after years in the foster system. Now, he must learn how to trust his newfound family and find that it's okay to be dependent on others. But after so many years of only relying on only himself, Wilbur struggles to do that. After all, can a story ever be that simple? Trigger warnings are at the top of each chapter. There aren't many but check them out anyway. Cross posted on AO3, search up the title to find it on there :)
