This book is a short story, so it doesn't have a lot of chapters. However, I hope you enjoy it. The purpose is to spread awareness about a topic I hold close to my heart. It is to also to encourage those who are dyslexic. . . . . . Miya Marshall is a 12 year old 7th grader. She goes though her first year in Clare Hall High with mostly D's and F's. She hates reading, and barely writes notes in her classes. When Miya is kicked off the basketball team and is on the verge of repeating 7th grade, her parents intervenes and find out that Miya's poor academic performance is not entirely her fault. "She sighed as she looked at her reflection. The reflection that stared back at her copied her every movements. It seemed to be taunting her for being dumb. Rita becomes strict with her eating, everyday the number of calories she eats gets lower and the amount of time she does cardio gets higher. She practices of managing her starvation by distracting it and never catches a break on the scale. Nobody is aware of it, it was something Rita doesn't want her friends or family to know, hiding her body from them didn't last long. Her mother noticed the dramatic weight change on her body. She tries to help her get back to her eating and tells her many times that she's "perfectly skinny" but nothing works. Her mother puts her foot down as Rita started to get ill, her mom takes her to a mental health hospital. She deals with consequences from her nurses and other patients.
