Princess Vania has always been curious about the outside world. Everything about it fascinated her. Alas, having an overprotective father snuffed out any chance of her exploring the world. And being the loyal daughter that she is, she respected her fathers wishes. So, she was forced to only read and fantasize about it.

One day, Vania father informs her that he is going to leave for a few weeks for a truce meeting. But as she later learns, she isn't guarded as much as she was before, previous to other trips. 

Using this opportunity to her advantage, Aliya, Vania's handmaiden decided to steal Vania away to a festival in the village, promising Vania that the king would never find out. Vania hated disobeying him, but it was only one time, right? He would never find out.

She makes many friends, and has loads of fun as the one day turned into weeks of sneaking out. But little does she know about the danger. Danger lurking in the shadows and observing her. Danger that is perhaps the reason Vania was so heavily protected by her father.

Who heals any wound you present to her. Cole Brookstone works as a waiter in a tavern in his home town. Trying to find something fun in his tiny life. Not knowing what exactly he wants. His best friends Nya and Kai Smith are children of famous traveling blacksmiths and they often live on their own, working at hotels and cleaning for others. Kai loves his small life and dreams of opening his own cleaning business, but his sister and best friend often dream of wacky adventures abroad. Prince Lloyd Montgomery Garmadon is stuck in his castle, under his father's rule. Unable to leave since his mother Koko's murder. His only friend, the guard his age ordered to protect him. Ethan Savage. He wishes to leave, and he seems to have the chance, when a band of Pirates are hired by his father, to find a hidden, long lost treasure.
