╰┈➤ "Our love will never be sane" Melody whispered as his hands found her hips, slowly drawing her closer to his presence.
"But why should it?" he breathed back slowly - her love was enough for him - even if perfect was no way to describe it.
She glances up at his immense, dark, godly figure, locking her eyes with his, as silent tears begin to slip from them "Because they've taken advantage of everything we could've had.... They've removed any sense of a relationship we should've been able to possess.... They've shown no empathy towards us, Thresh. They've stolen it. They've stolen our love."

ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ a 74th Hunger Games story in which Melody Page is forced abruptly into the abhorrent atmosphere of the Hunger Games. She expects little - from her mentors, fellow district tribute and supporters from the Captiol - but once she crosses paths with the 'ox' from district eleven, her fate changes... forever.

The 136th Hunger Games by High_Queen2
23 parts Ongoing
When Kira Blackwood's name is reaped, she knows she's screwed. How is she supposed to survive in a fight to death with twenty-three other tributes, all of whom want to get out alive as much as she does? Not to mention, the thought of killing somebody twists her stomach into all sorts of unnatural shapes. Despite secretly training for the Games in the cow pastures surrounding her home, and being pretty handy with a knife, Kira's kind heart may be the thing that holds her back the most. However, as she navigates through the opulent world of the Capitol, and then the arena itself, Kira starts to realize that maybe, just maybe, it's not the dead she should pity, but the Victor. After all, no one ever really wins the Hunger Games. Survives, sure. But wins? Never. ~~+~~ Please Note: This is set in a world where the 2nd Rebellion failed. All usurpers were executed (except those pesky star-crossed lovers, who knows where they ran off to), District 13 was destroyed for good (but District 12 was rebuilt, on the basis that the Capitol realized that it actually really needed coal), and the Hunger Games were reinstated. Disclaimer: I don't own any of the rights to the Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, or to the Lionsgate adaptation of her books. (Obviously.) All characters of my creation are copyrighted. ~~+~~ Thank you so much for reading this, it really means so much to me!!! :) I hope you enjoy, and love it as much as I do! (Also sorry for the length, I sort have this thing for details... and long, run-on sentences... and long, run-on sentences stuffed with details...) Please note: I don't have a ton of free time, so as much as I love writing this, updating it will probably be super irregular. I'll try not to let too much time pass in between updates, but that really depends on my homework schedule. Actually, who am I kidding, I'm a huge procrastinator. I'll probably be doing this instead of my homework.

How I Became a Monster ~ Finnick Odair

9 parts Ongoing

"They look at me as if I wanted to be this way, like I wanted to become this monster hidden from the world." . + * ~ ♔ ~ * + . Daphne Dunn is just like every other teenager in the districts. Her name was written in a small paper, four times now that she is sixteen, and was dropped into a glass bowl. However, she became one of the unlucky ones when her name was selected from the bowl of hundreds of children. The games bring Daphne to the point of insanity, leaving her the shell of the bubbly, outgoing girl she once was. In some people's eyes, she was a monster. The Capitol turned her into a monster and banished her from the light of society to be known the monstrous and murderous victor they made her out to be. However, with the help of her mentor, Finnick Odair, and a lot of patience, the shadow of her might return. Something else might grow between the two, more than just a friendship kind of bond, but only time will tell. . + * ~ ♔ ~* + . Disclaimer: I do not own the Hunger Games or its characters; that was all the work of the amazing Suzanne Collins. However, I do own my own characters and their storylines. . + * ~ Part 1 of a 3 part series ~ * + .
