Now, not long after their split, she's gained powers, which has led her to join the League. If not to reunite with her closest friend, then also to explore her newfound powers and a possible newfound love interest.

Or something new and uncertain. Damian Wayne, as her original target and childhood bully, is trying to show her that she can surivive outside of The League of Shadows. She can be whoever she wants. The Justice League is quick to sway her to their side, but Talia doesn't want to lose a valuable pawn. And with Carmen's uncertainty, the scale could easily tip either way.
