This is a historical fiction anthology of short stories woven from folklore and history, stories of Veer Gatha and local hearsay, to weave together the life of my first Muse, Maharana Pratap, in flesh blood and emotions in an attempt to show his human side. The centre of the story is not the battles you know of but the relationships that inspired him, the women like his mother Maharani Jivanta Bai and his chief consort Ajbante Kanwar who made him who he was. Please note that this is not a history post so historical accuracies cannot be referred to from here.

In the vast sands of Rajasthan, where echoes of honor and sacrifice filled every heart of Rajputana, Pratap and Phool's story came alive. It was a tale woven by destiny, one of ancient valor and forbidden love. Phool Kanwar Rathod, the fierce and noble princess of Marwar, carried a love for Kunwar Pratap Singh as deep as the desert wells. He was the brave prince of Mewar, whose valor matched the very spirit of Rajasthan. When their paths first crossed, a flame of banter, friendship, and unspoken love ignited. But destiny, in its cruel way, led Pratap into the arms of another, leaving Phool heartbroken. Though her heart ached, Phool stepped back into the shadows of her palace, holding onto Pratap's memory like a hidden treasure. She wrapped her love in silence, choosing sacrifice over confession. As time passed, fate brought Pratap back into her life, their paths crossing once more in a dance of passion and duty. Bound by their honor and a love that defied the stars, they were drawn into a web of longing and sacrifice, stretching across the vast lands of Rajasthan. With the Mughal Empire casting its dark shadow over their world, battles raged and empires clashed. Amid this chaos, their love shone as a beacon of hope. Pratap stood firm, not just as a defender of his land but as a man fighting for the love that tied him to Phool. In a journey filled with battles, honor, love, hatred, and sacrifice, Pratap and Phool carved a path through the trials that destiny laid before them, their love story unfolded like the sands beneath the starry rajasthani sky. ~ Mystic Stardust [Shruti Singh]

A/N: The first few chapters were written when I barely knew anything about vocabulary or knew how to write a story. I started writing on impulse so it may seem a little immature. But please don't judge the book by reading the first few chapters. I promise it gets better.
