The only people capable of fighting these monsters are known as espers, they have supernatural abilities, the catch is that those powers can become unstable and consume them, making the espers go on a rampage before eventually dying. The only people capable of stoping the espers from rampaging are the guides, people capable of soothing said espers with physical touch. Warning, there may be trigger warnings in this story such as non-consent, mentions of past suicide attempt, and blood.
