Certifying who I am and the reason for my continued existence seems elusive. I had a past shrouded in mystery, a relatively content present, and an uncertain future. That was until I encountered him for the very first time. Under the summer rain, my children by my side, I met that man. Strangely, in my recollections, I've never seen him, nor known him. Yet, he feels oddly familiar. Too familiar, in fact. Our gazes met. Time stood still. He seemed to be surprised. I felt a shiver run through me as my heart raced. Who was that person ? Why did my heart tighten at the sight of him ?  He stared at me with a strange gaze. I could not definite it as a sorrow or a joy. Why? Did he know me? Did we know each other? Suddenly, I felt uneasy. I smiled at him, without really knowing why, then, I walked away.

That night, sleep eluded me, plagued by recurring nightmares. The face of that man haunted every corner of my thoughts, leaving me captive to the anxiety it invoked. Temporarily amnesic, I pondered: do these unsettling dreams weave the threads of my forgotten past? This man, whose silhouette lingers in my nights, appears to be the key to my turmoil, a mystery destined for me to unravel.
