While her brothers are learning in Cloud Recesses, Jiang YanLi visits a fortune teller to learn about her future marriage. Instead she learns of an unsettling future. 

One where her parents and sect are murdered. The other sects are decimated. Her husband is murdered. She is murdered.  Her brother commits suicide. 

And the destruction of everything she loves apparently begins with her brothers attending the Wen Indoctrination lessons. So... what if they don't go? Can she protect her loved ones?
