Once upon a time, there was a legend. It spoke of a powerful mirror that was able to grant one's wishes infinitely. It remained a myth due to it never being found. Many years later, a magician stumbled upon it in a chest, locked away deep underground. Unaware of its true purpose, he dismissed it to be some unique fortune teller. He used it in many tricks and performances alike. His latest act was at the Royal Palace, in honor of celebrating Prince Damien's 7th birthday. The little prince loved the show, but didn't feel satisfied enough. He wanted to play with the mirror longer. Oh, how bad of an idea that was.

When you tell a story over and over and over again enough times, details become warped. The finer points of the true meanings are lost between the lines. Just like the story of Ajatri Hope, whose story we most commonly know as, "The Jungle Book." One day, just like all the other people of her world, she found herself trapped in a place where her happy ending was stolen from her. A place where her family, her memories, and even her own true identity were stripped away. Our world. This is her story. "There's only one thing strong enough to bring back what you desire. Only one cure for your loss." "I don't know what that is!" "Come now, don't you know what magic is powerful enough to restore anything?" "You twisted bastard." "True love, dearie. Isn't that the Hook in everyone's story?" Once Upon A Time [TV] Season 1 Season 2 Season 3 Season 4 Season 5 Season 6 Season 7 --- Disclaimers: I do not own Once Upon A Time, it's characters or plot. I do not own the Jungle Book story - all rights go to the appropriate parties. I do own my OCs and their plots. Highest Rankings: #1 in #enchantedforest [09/01/24]

Mirror, Mirror, on the wall, You'll turn ruby as you fall... Mirror, Mirror, on the wall, No more fairest of them all... ~~~ Ebony lives in the Mirror Palace, where the Crystal Queen rules all she sees. At least, Ebony thinks she's alive. No one seems to be able to see her--not even Ebony herself, when she looks into a mirror. The only time anyone notices Ebony is during the day, when they walk past her in the gardens--or use her for various things, such as a coat rack or a convenient shadow-caster. During these moments, Ebony wants nothing more than to speak, to be heard--but Ebony can't speak, or move, or even breathe, because Ebony is little more than a statue, frozen in marble. She doesn't know why she comes alive after the sun sets, or why she can run all the way into the Faerie Forest and still find herself back in the gardens once the moon is gone. Ebony doesn't know much of anything at all, except that she loves Prince Castor, who spends every afternoon reading in the shade she casts, and that she fears the Crystal Queen. Ebony believes that she'll be trapped in marble forever, but with the arrival of Henric, a huntsman hired by the Crystal Queen to track a rare white hart, her fate begins to change... When my mother was alive, magic was the only string that kept her and I together. The silly card tricks, even pulling a rabbit out of the hat. It all connected me to her, pulling me into a seemingly better reality than where I was. But in the blink of an eye, she was gone. That string snapped. Magic was only real if you believed, and at that point, it was just a game to me. All it did was provide false hope. I forced myself to keep performing for her, deceive others into thinking that what they saw was real. Seeing magic fill others with joy made me question; why. Why would seeing something impossible make someone so happy? Because seeing is believing. And the closer you look, the less you'll see.
