She doesn't expect the way he makes her feel, she doesn't expect to like him and she certainly doesn't expect to hesitate. She doesn't expect Caden.

Torn between lust and self-preservation, Stella struggles to fight her growing feelings for the handsome Illyrian, growing ever more comfortable in the City of Starlight and in his arms-in between her various murder attempts of course.

"Did you have to go for the wings?" He asked her irritably and she rolled her eyes, leaning backward to avoid a slice at her chest area. He could have swept her feet out from under her in that moment and she knew it too-it made her even angrier.

"I don't know, you did have them out!" She hissed, jabbing at his thigh with her boot as she slashed at his pectoral in retaliation. "Maybe try not making them such a big target next time!" She managed to catch him on the back of the arm.

He smirked at her, darting backward for a moment, sword still raised in front of him. "Quite the compliment." Her brows furrowed in confusion and he laughed, tossing his head back.

Estelle Beaumont just wanted a peaceful hike on her last day of vacation. Instead, one ill-starred moment of curiosity leaves her miraculously stranded in the fictional world of Prythian--a faerie realm full of ruthless court drama, rampant misogyny, and enough deadly magic to keep anyone up at night. Armed with foreknowledge that's only helpful when it isn't actively trying to get her killed, Estelle quickly discovers that living through the story of ACOTAR is far less fun and far more perilous when it's her own basic-ass, untrained mortal life on the line. Her plan is simple: keep her hands off of the plot and survive long enough to find a way back to the family and love she left behind. But the so-called "Mother" clearly has other plans for Estelle, forcing her to confront an unsettling truth--that her role here in Prythian might be far greater than that of a passive observer. As Estelle reluctantly abandons her original plan, uneasy alliances form, old wounds reopen, and fractured trust begins to mend. Love, loss, and scars of the past converge as Estelle slowly starts to see that the family she thought she'd lost might take a new shape, and that the life she left behind might be the only reason she's prepared for the fight ahead. But the cost of shaping Prythian's future--and her own--might be greater than she can bear. After all, it's a future that was never meant to be hers to begin with. And this is all that damned Cauldron's fault... ☆⊱──────⊰ ☽✧☾ ⊱──────⊰☆ A/N: This fanfiction is purely self-indulgent. If you don't like self-insert/iseki like tropes were an original character who read the books ends up in the fictional world as the new main character, you might want to skip this. Somethings will stay very familiar, others will diverge completely, and I plan to add extra world building along the way. Slowburn romance.

"Do you think you can stop me shadow singer?" Xander asked in an eerie voice as his eyes glowed. Xander's body thrummed with power every single one present there felt it. "Az, don't" Rhys warned as he eyed Xander. Azriel took a step forward and his breath hitched as he saw that there was no glinting grey eyes looking back at him. Xander's eyes shined golden in the dark as he looked Azriel dead in his eyes. "I will kill you if you stand in my way shadow singer" Xander taunted in the same voice. "If you kill me my mate will die and you will lose your vessel" Azriel retorted as his hands balled into fists. Xander tilted his head to one side and looked down at his chest and then turned towards Azriel's . "Then I will break the bond" Xander stated as his left hand wrapped in the middle air. Everyone's breath hitched as the golden string attached to his heart and Azriel's became visible. Azriel howled in pain as his knees gave out. Feyre and Rhys rushed to his side and held him. Rhys's throat bobbed as he gulped loudly. Cassian's siphons flared and formed a shield around Nesta , Amren and Mor to save them from Xander's wrath. Rhys surged forward to tackle Xander. "Don't be stupid boy" Xander threatened as he froze Rhys in midair. If any anyone had doubts about the extent of Xander's power it was cleared in that instant. Xander, Feyre, Amren and Nesta clutched their ears and fell to the ground as a shrill cried echoed in their ears. Rhys cradled Xander in his arms as his eyes fluttered open. Rhys breathed a shy of relief when he saw that his eyes weren't glowing. "Az" Xander breathed. Azriel crawled forward and kissed forehead. "You're alright" Azriel said and weaved his hands through his hair. Everything hit him like a tidal wave as the memories of what happened returned to his head. This is the story of Xander Archeron. The youngest of four. Twin to Elain the second youngest. Follow him through the events of his life.

"Lilith! You little sneak!" Her sisters laughed as she remained perched on the tree branch. She leaned down, grinning, her brown hair falling like a curtain in front of her beautiful face. Her blue eyes were gleaming with mischief as she stuck her tongue out. "I always win at hide and seek." "Yes, because you're a sneak!" Nesta said, fondly chuckling. She slid off the tree eventually to join her parents and sisters for dinner, laughing, carefree. A few years later, she was hunting and killing, stealthy and quiet as a panther stalking after its victims. Nobody called her a little sneak anymore, nobody but that evil, traitorous voice in her head: and it certainly wasn't spoken with affection. ... Kallias' hands trembled more than he'd like to admit as he held his daughter for the first time: she looked like the perfect mix of her mother and father, only warmer, sweeter, as if to signal the war was over: warmer days had come. She had curly blonde hair, some shades darker than her parents' and blue eyes- the ocean's shade, not the ice's. Vivianne stood behind Kallias, her voice slightly wobbling as she looked at her- their child. "She's beautiful." She whispered, and harshly shallowed, trying not to cry. War was over- war was over, her family was alive, and nothing, absolutely nothing could go wrong anymore. "We will name her Amelia. It means soft in Ancient Greek. And soft she will be." Kallias muttered, running his fingers over his daughter's cheek. ... Two girls: one mortal and one Faerie. Two stories, one ending.

TW: this book will deal with triggering topics. If you are easily triggered this is not the story for you, thanks. (Book one in the Starlight series) ─── · 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ─── Danika Archeron was born in the shadows. Always looking over her shoulder when her family wasn't looking. She was their protector even if they didn't know it. She had been training as an assassin and warrior since she was eight years old, and yet her family had never suspected a thing. What will Danika do when she's spirited away to Prythian with her little sister, surrounded by the creatures she'd been training to kill for as long as she could remember? ─── · 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ─── I cut him off my smile unfaltering, "Think before you speak, the last male who didn't lost more than just his tongue." Some say that everyone's fate is already determined. If that's the case, Estelle Marzena is greatly disappointed with hers. Her greatest dream is to participate in the Illyrian Blood Rite and become a Carynthian warrior, like so many in her family. She has been training for the Rite her entire life, and yet, she continues to be told that she isn't ready. Estelle must find a way to prove her skills to her mentors so that she can prove her skills to the world, and she might have unwittingly stumbled across a way to do that. Being the bastard son of the High Lord of Dawn isn't something Mikael Anik takes lightly. Despite his parents' love and acceptance, Mikael continued to feel the pressure and unease of his people. His birth parents never married and he is a Peregryn halfbreed, the likes of which had never become a High Lord before. Mikael is devoted to proving himself to both his fathers and his people, but can he do that and deal with a surprisingly irritating Shadowsinger at the same time?
