Lydia Campbell had the perfect life. She lived in a grand house, with two parents who treated the girl as if she were their world. Unlike most parents in their society, her parents did not care to force their daughter to debut into society to find love, allowing her to make decisions for herself. She lived in the countryside, with beautiful views to paint from all angles of their estate.

She knew something was wrong as soon as her uncle arrived at her door. He never came around to visit, bitter that his eldest brother got the house and title that came along with it. He didn't try to break the news gently to the girl as the servants moved his stuff in, following his every order. Lydia's parents had been killed in a tragic carriage accident. They were dead.

Just like that everything in Lydia's perfect life is flipped upside down. Her parents are gone, her horrible uncle has taken over her home as if he hasn't just lost his brother too, too eager to take on the title of viscount. He acted as if nothing had happened, meanwhile for Lydia, nothing would ever be the same.

It didn't take long for her Uncle Richmond to grow tired of her sulking. Deciding to send his niece away, to start over. As much as she didn't want to go, her home no longer felt like home anymore. Not without her parents, they were her home. So, she agrees, writing to the only people she knows her mother would want her to go to. Her mother's best friend in London, Violet Bridgerton.

She hadn't seen the Bridgertons since she was a child. Back when their responsibilities were little and feelings far less complicated. She'd been naive to think things hadn't changed much over the years; that she could reunite with them and everything go back to normal. But Benedict Bridgerton, the boy she had once considered a friend can no longer seem to look at her now, and she has no idea why.

After a night of wonder under flowers and fireworks, Penelope Featherington thought she was on top of the world. Things seemed to go perfectly for once in her life. Until, her best friend discovers something she's been hiding for years. And to top it all off she overhears a conversation she was never meant to hear. And for the first time in her life Penelope truly feels like she's alone in the world. Penelope must look inside herself and decide once and for all if she will continue her usual wallflower ways or if it's time for her to step into the spotlight and claim the life she has always dreamed of having. Colin Bridgerton was, in his own estimation, perfectly happy being single. He enjoyed the occasional dance with the beautiful debutantes and his charming ways lead him to be quite a flirt. However he knew deep down it meant nothing. He was not in search of a wife, in fact he wasn't even ready to entertain the idea of finding one. He did however find himself involved in a rather deep and genuine friendship with one, Miss Penelope Featherington. But when his own foolish remarks threaten to ruin there relationship forever, he must decide whether he can let her go or if there is maybe something he hadn't seen in her before. Could Prince Charming (or rather Mr. Charming) truly set aside his rakish ways for one wallflower? Or will the secrets she's hiding tear them even farther apart? What happens when a wallflower blossoms?

After spending years as one of the most notorious rakes of the ton, Anthony Bridgerton has decided it's time to settle down and carry on the family line. He knows love exists, because his parents were a shining example of a loving, happy marriage. Still, he has no intentions of falling in love with his intended bride. Anthony's father died quite young, so Anthony believes, albeit irrationally, that he will die young too. Falling in love is a complication he doesn't need in his already too short life, so he sets out to court the beauty who is the latest toast of the ton. She is a woman who meets his requirements for a wife, but with whom he could never see himself falling in love. Anthony just didn't count on the infuriating lady stirring his desires in a way no other woman ever has. Amelia Windsor has no intention of allowing Anthony Bridgerton anywhere near herself. She vows to do whatever it takes to interfere with the rakish viscount's courtship, but in the process manages to unintentionally get herself into some outlandish situations, which also place her into close proximity with the man himself. Her encounters with Anthony leave her hot and bothered and feeling confused. But outside forces draw the two apart. Princess Amelia is engaged to King of Spain, while Anthony is forcefully engaged to Miss Edwina Sharma. Neither are a love match. Can the two break free of their chains and reunite? Or will they forever be held in place by their mistakes, regrets, and societal expectations? We shall find out, my gentle reader. #2 lovesquare

Sophia Badger always envied those born as elites, attending balls and wearing fancy dresses. She's spent her life trying to get there; from falsifying legal documents to get into finishing school to learning how to sew her own dresses. Still, without any guardian to watch over her, she is now stealing and thieving to stay upright. One particular night, Sophia finds herself chased by the cops, and ends up in the Bridgerton's garden, where she runs headfirst into a green-eyed gentleman. To her surprise, he is more than happy to help her out and bring some action into his own unfulfilled life. In the weeks following their meeting, secrets unravel themselves and relationships form. Both Benedict and Sophia have one goal; to find out who they really are, and as it seems, they might just find each other in that process too.
