Max's Diary is a section of Max's journal and contains 73 double pages which record Max Caulfield's happenings and exploration in Arcadia Bay, beginning on July 10, 2013, when she is accepted into Blackwell Academy and ending on October 11, 2013.

Max keeps it updated throughout the game, keeping track of everything that has happened thus far. It offers further insight about Max's thoughts, motivations, doubts or fears, which are revealed to the player this way.
