A long line of Samurai has led to a young man, Y/N L/N. Hailing from a small village, he trains day after day to become a great swordsman, like his father and many before him, even after samurai have been abolished during the Meiji Restoration.

But, unbeknownst to Y/N, there lurks a far more important reason for him to pick up a sword. One that threatens the balance of humanity itself.

Join him, as he embarks on an adventure through a demon-infested world, meeting all sorts of people along the way. Many of whom will be interesting to him, including one girl with two butterfly hairpins who captures his heart...


This story doesn't completely abide by the events of the Demon Slayer manga, so semi-canon would be a suitable way to describe it.
Yes, this is a Kanae Kocho x Male Reader story. There just aren't enough of them.
Y/N will end up being a Wind Breather, hence the name. I'm smart, right?
This is my first Wattpad story, though I do have some writing experience elsewhere. Still... be nice :)
(Also, I don't own Demon Slayer or its characters. All I own is Y/N in this story, as well as any OCs and changes to the canon story.)

So basically, you. Muzan's 14-year-old half-demon daughter (I know it's cliche but bear with me) who he doesn't know even exists, somehow ended up under the suspicion of being a demon, which you were, halfway. And it was decided that you would now be living with the famous insect hashira. Shinobu Kocho. In the Butterfly mansion until they found out whether you were a demon or not after the test they had prepared had failed. The most efficient solution you could think of to get them to leave you alone for the rest of eternity without spilling any blood was to lay low until their suspicion of you being a demon eventually died down and they allowed you to leave yourself. However... It seemed there were quite a number of Demon slayers who greatly disapproved of your stay here, or at least they were very wary of you. the most annoying one being Sanemi Shinazugawa. The reason was obvious enough. You were a demon. Which now made the biggest hassle you had to deal with, staying alive until that point. You have met quite a few demon slayers during your stay at the butterfly mansion, and though not many had been very pleasant. There were others you encounters with a few individuals who were... Basically this fanfic is really different from the other one. I'm not the best at descriptions. So please give it a chance. Also I read the manga so theirs gonna be manga spoilers.
