Natasha and Steve have realized their attraction towards each other for a while now. They try being together but with Natasha's reluctancy to trust people and letting people into her heart they breakup. She keeps going back to him and he lets her in every time, causing a toxic relationship. Eventually he tells her he loves her and she can trust him. This scares her. After one night together she gets up and says she's leaving, this time for good. But, of course she comes back. This time with a secret. 
Lies will be revealed, stories will unfold, and past hauntings will play a piece in this game. 
What happens when one of them is faced with someone in their past?

First, this is a fanfic for Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow and Steve Rogers/Captain America. Second, this will kind of go through the MCU timeline but not a lot. It will jump around and have some new parts. Third, I don't know everything about the Avengers but I know enough (I think). Fourth, this might have spelling errors and I'm sorry if it does. Fifth, this is meant for a little older audience so just warning this will have foul language, blood, guns, and fighting. This won't have descriptive sex scenes because i don't like writing those. Sixth, I will try to post weekly and at least monthly since I do write another fanfic on Instagram, @chicagopd.fandom which I update daily. All characters belong to Marvel. When Steve went to return the stones, he's not only bringing the stones with him but the slightest hope of bringing Natasha back. No one really expected how easy to get the sacrifice back opposite to how hard it was to get the stone, but no one's gonna complain on getting Natasha Romanoff back, it was what everyone wanted. After Steve got Natasha back they sat down for a moment and talked about the possibilities of Steve staying in his original time. What happens if he stays, how will it affect Natasha? "You're thinking of staying..." she was stating more than questioning. "I'm not sure Nat... I got a new life here..." "But that's not the life you wanted..."
