Bumblebee goes missing. He is taken to a lab where he is mutated and becomes an organic. He now has a heart, lungs, and a system a human would have. (He's not a human!). The scientists and medics are treating him like an object. Running strange and normal tests on him. Drawling his new blood again and again. A shock collar around his neck. But he's not alone. Steeljaw has also been mutated. As much as they hate each other. They work together to escape and find a way to reverse back to normal. But they find a horrible truth. The effects are permeant. And there is no going back. They find mutants who have no memory of their past. Steeljaw and Bumblebee take them in. But how long can they stay hidden? Then during the attempt to stop The Space Bridge, in the midst of the battle, Bumblebee gets kidnapped and taken. For Stellar Cycles, Bumblebee goes through the worst. Being a prisoner, training to fight & kill, forced to move on from all he once knew and had, do as he's told, & become a Con. The only thing Bee wanted was to find value in himself, to survive, to truly see if his former team moved on in life without him.
