- The story takes place sometime after Quest For The Lost Powers 

   The Ninja have been keeping up on training, as to not get rusty again. It was as if any time they relaxed they were hit in the head with a threat to their beloved city. Things were quiet for a while, until disturbing calls came in from a village on the outskirts of Ninjago city.. reports of tremors that shook the small village. The Ninja are called to the scene to help before a rift tears through reality and consumes the ninja and leaves them stranded in an dystopian realm..... a realm of pure fear and death.  

    To survive is nothing more than hell.. will they make it out alive? Will they get back home? Or will they stay buried in this world forever...

It causes issues with his father, master and his friends at the same time. And during the adventure with Kai and Nya (HoT), Cole discovered a new power inside of him. It was powerful. He liked it, it helped the ninja a lot. Cole was stronger than he ever was before. And now he's their biggest target ..... In this story, Cole must face the Queen of Ghouls, otherwise the Realm of Ninjago will fall into the hands of Evil...
