Asher Gray had been wishing to remake his life ever since his last relationship left him in a very bad emotional situation; 10 years of love that ended abruptly when he found his fiancée cheating on him with her childhood best friend. He was beyond depressed, and so when he heard one of his mother's friends was selling a house all the way across the globe, he took the chance and bought it.

Now, a year after, he is finally settled in his cozy apartment, ready to live comfortably in his little town away from the world. And most of all, he promised himself never to allow anyone else to hurt him so deep again, but how? 

He swore to never again fall in love.

His plan was working as he wanted, and for the next couple of weeks he knew of nothing more than peace and quiet... Until "he" appeared, of course; the outspoken, way-too-social, blonde, pretty boy that worked in Asher's favorite cafe. He and his hearty laugh were sure to unmake the walls Asher had so careful built around his heart.All Rights Reserved

But as much as I wished him to, he wasn't a child anymore, and I had ceased to be the girl he idealized. The man pushed Asher's head into the vehicle, and he repeated "I love you" over and over, like a fresh mantra. I didn't doubt his words. But there were just a few things that still made sense to me, and his voice was in the past. A relic that was rooted in a better context. Us.
