"Mai ye sabh kuch bhul jaungi Ekansh, sabh kuch..." she begged, not wanting to lose him.
He hung his head low, not knowing how to reply, a million memories flashing before his eyes. All the words he uttered that day stung back at him like a swarm of wasps.
"Kya aap iss Akshita, jo aap ke liye SULI PAR CHAD JAYEGI..." Her voice echoed throughout the room as her emotions took over her.
"Iss Akshita ke sath zindagi bitane ka mauka gavadenge?" She asked, broken, her voice cracked at the end, her eyes pleading.
He looks at her, his eyes softening as he looks at her- her eyes full of hope. He takes a deep breath, breaking eye contact.
She looked down, missing the guilt-filled look in his eyes, while her eyes were now void of emotions.
She nodded, chuckling bitterly, "Thik hai, thik hai... Toh ye sun lena... Iss Akshita..." she said, pointing to herself, "Iss Akshita, ko mil ne ka aap ka akhri mauka, apne afsoos se gavadiy-"
"Nahi..." he says barely above a whisper, but her ears catch it. "Nahi..." he says, shaking his bent head, "Nahi Gavaunga Akshita, Nahi gavanunga.." he whispers to himself, falling on his knees.
"It was wrong of me to accuse you without any evidence, I- Forgive me if you can..." he said, tears flowing down his face.
She looks at him, letting out a heavy sigh, her emotions threatening to spill. She closed her eyes.
His heart ached hearing her silence as the dam of guilt overflowed from his eyes in the form of tears.
He had lost her.
