Ash and Korrina are birds of a feather. They understand one another. They feel the same feelings. Yet where Korrina races forward, Ash can only walk behind. She can slow down, but she can't stay forever.

This is how she left.

A short, non-canon side story exploring Korrina's reasons for splitting from the group. Reading up to chapter 12 of "Pokémon XY: Trying Something New" is recommended, but not necessary to enjoy this fic.

Honestly Ash being betrayed is an interesting concept and done many times so I tried to differentiate my story from others. All characters belong to Gamefreak and the Pokemon company who made my childhood amazing.
