After being invited to help his friend, Stanford Pines, build a portal in Gravity Falls, Oregon; Fiddleford finds that this invitation was more than he signed up for. Every day, he finds something new going on with the scientist and even finds new scars or bruises on him. Fiddleford decides to stay to help him, knowing that Stanford has gone through hell while growing up. However, one day, when he finds his host looking over him with glowing yellow eyes, Fiddleford knows there is something much scarier going on.

As for the scientist, Stanford Pines has invited his long-time friend from university, Fiddleford McGucket, to help him with an invention. Ford was commissioned to make this portal by a being of another universe and was told this portal could change the world. Of course, Ford agreed as he wanted to see what else the universe had to offer. Yet, he starts to lose control of who he is and ends up finding himself with a gun and his friend and brother on the opposing side.

There is only one way to get rid of evil. An invention that needs to be used with precaution and built without interference. But how do you control a demon and alternate what it does until you can delete the evil?

But this summer will be different. When his parents learn that his aunt and uncle were going to be sending his cousins, Dipper and Mabel, away from home, Patrick is sent with them. Together, they go up north to a sleepy little town called Gravity Falls, Oregon. To stay with their Great Uncle Stan in his house that he converted into a tourist trap called the Mystery Shack. All things were going normal and boring for them beginning, but there was always a palpable feeling that the woods all around them hide something of a dark secret.
