Percy and Annabeth grew up going to overnight camp together, and they started when they were only 7 years old. They would both look forward to the only time they would get to see their best friend, because they both lived in different cities, Percy in Manhattan, and Annabeth in San Francisco. They were best friends, but nothing more, no matter how many times the campers would make fun of them. the summer both of them turned 12, they both never showed up to camp that year. They didn't have each others address, or phone numbers, so they couldn't call, text, or send a letter to each other, and they eventually moved on. THey are both now 16.
