Demon Slayer alternative universe (AU) in which Nezuko is the survivor of her family's massacre and Tanjiro is transformed into a demon. Nezuko trains to become a demon slayer to avenge her family and protect others from a similar fate. Along the way, she discovers the slim chance of a possible cure for her brother's condition and will fight to get it. As the two siblings walk among the shadows in search of the light, they encounter surprising allies, vicious foes and unravel the secrets of the past.
