It truly did take a village. The proverb became obvious all at once for Fredrick R. Cruz. 

When he is promoted to Deputy Assistant Secretary in the Department of State, Fredrick is left with the challenge of raising a troublesome pre-teen who has the tendency to meddle. 

In his hurricane of a life, the one thing he never expected was finding solace in the captain of his country. Steve Rogers moving into the apartment across the hall was a blessing in disguise, and Fredrick could finally feel the heavy weight of undeserved responsibility ease from his shoulders. 

But when his daughter, Theo, gets too tangled up in the business of 'Earth's Mightiest Heroes', it may just be enough for that vein in his forehead to finally burst.

Breaking the fabrics of reality the two find themselves experiencing the visual of one of the new reality's most critical and tragic moments: the planned assassination of the industrialist Howard Stark and his wife, Maria, who would inevitably be leaving a massive empire on their twenty years old son's shoulders. Grappled by the strengths of the winter soldier's valor and precision, the two only find themselves abducted to a far off HYDRA facility where they are made to go through immense physical and mental trauma as the scientists crackle bolts of electricity and narcotics through them just so they could be turned into their mindless puppet. By a fortunate turn of events, the two soon breakout to only travel back to the future where they must navigate the complexities of a new reality where superheroes, villains, and the consequences of time travel are all too real. But much more is a stake for our protagonists when they are forced to stay and mend the reality the sorcerer supreme had spun, serving the repercussions as time's eternal servant. Will this be their new branched reality? Will they ever go home? Read on to find out.
