Izuku Midoriya never believed in myths or divine beings. To him, the idea of an all-powerful God or ruthless demons pulling the strings of humanity was laughable. After all, if God were real, why would wars rage on? Why would innocent lives suffer? To Izuku, the horrors of the world came from human nature, not from some supernatural force.

When Izuku finds himself in a moment of unimaginable danger, everything he thought he understood begins to unravel. In his darkest hour, as death looms ever closer, a mysterious figure appears just before he loses consciousness. Upon waking, he discovers a newcomer glued to his side, brimming with sarcastic remarks, and to his shock, they share a matching tattoo-one Izuku has never seen before.

An idea rose to mind, it was fairly terrible...but it seemed like the only option. "Look," Uraraka started, lightly grabbing his free hand into hers, "I get it, a lot of people could have gotten hurt- and thanks to you they didn't." "But?" Izuku raised. "But, just because you're a pro doesn't mean you go head first into danger- especially with a wanted villain, without some type of backup! So...I think you need a partner." She cringed back at the end, knowing he wasn't going to like the idea in the slightest bit.
