the man reached for the yellow bandana covering the lower half of his face, pulling it below his chin. clancy watched in bewilderment as torchbearer revealed himself, sure he had felt his heart stop in his chest. how was that possible?

with wide eyes, he glanced to his right where torchbearer should have been, but was only met with an empty space. the anger inside him simmered into a desperate confusion. clancy was sure he was ready to take on anything, but this? this was too much.
