16-year-old introverted teenager Nick Holloway decides to start an independent life, enrolls in college as a music major, and moves into a trailer to stay away from the noisy dorm crowds. The boy gets a part-time job at an antique shop to pay for his education. But there's one significant caveat - the owner has strictly forbidden Nicholas from entering the store's basement. Naturally, curiosity gets the better of him, and the guy breaks this rule by entering the forbidden room.
