"I think we both saw this coming. I don't think it's much of a surprise at this point but I think it's time we stop this Alex." He knows what Henry's saying, he really does. And yet some small part of him isn't willing to accept it. Because no he did not see this coming and yes it is a total surprise so Henry can't possibly be saying what Alex thinks he's saying.
"I... Henry, I don't know what you're talking about."
"Christ Alex, it's time we broke up."
Alex is stunned into silence. He feels like his head is underwater as he tries to process what Henry is saying.
"You.. you want to break up?"

Alex isn't even sure what he is doing here. Sure, he has just been dumped or something and Bea didn't want him to be alone, but it's not like he has any interest in being a part of the fun. He isn't exactly in their friends' group; he is just Bea's brother. And as much as Alex loves Bea, he viciously hates her brother. Bea raises her voice which doesn't happen all that often and Henry caves. "I'll behave." He mutters in a low voice. "If he stops being an idiot." ___________________________________________ Alex and Henry hate each other. That much is clear to Alex. So, when Nora decides to make them share a room on their trip to Italy, Alex thinks she might have lost her mind. Afterall, there is no one worse than Henry Fox, to be forced to spend time with.
