She convinces herself it's the best decision, but the weight of that choice never leaves her. Fifteen years later, Elizabeth is married to Robbie, who supports her through everything, but the ache of not knowing what happened to Olive eats away at her. She decides to search for her daughter, no matter the cost.

Meanwhile, Olive has grown up in the foster care system, shuffled between homes that were supposed to protect her but often did the opposite. She's been hurt, silenced, and left feeling like she's nothing but a problem nobody wants. Olive doesn't speak anymore-it's her way of keeping the world out, of staying safe.
