150 years...
That's how long the war has been going on in Equilibria: between the United Federation of Tachyon, a technologically advanced empire, and the Arcane Order of Seirion, a powerful magical empire. This long and unending war of conquest and expansion has led to many sufferings in this world, as those who were in between them were squashed underneath the feet of the marching force.

Occasionally, some people in this world may obtain resolites, a mysterious white crystal capable of transforming into powerful melee weapons. Though its inner workings and reason for existence are unknown, those with resolites, also known as resolutors, were hunted down by the empires as a key to making super soldiers, necessary for the war.

One such resolutor was Lorian Ashwood, who had obtained a particularly powerful resolite after his home village was destroyed by a mysterious ray of light coming from the sky, destroying everything in its path, including the soldiers from both empires fighting to capture his village. Nobody, not even the powerful empires, knew who was behind it. With no home to return to and no answer to the truth behind it, Lorian was forced to wander the world while the empires actively attempted to capture him.

Through luck and circumstance, he encountered many people trying to make a living in this fractured world, either by opposing it or capitalising on it. He eventually joined the Strife Striders, an aviator group from Rustbed and embarked across Equilibria on a journey to find the truth behind his resolite and the mysterious ray of light, which would unexpectedly lead them into facing challenges and uncovering deeper truths.

[COMPLETED : 5|09|2016 and slowly editing ] He snapped his fingers and a red flame flourished into existence. "How did you-" "I'm a professional." He smirked, clearly enjoying this. If I got a penny for everytime I rolled my eyes at him, I would probably be a billionaire. In a limousine. With a hot wife. And a hotter girl to cheat on her with. And that too I'm straight. He flexed his palms and the flame disappeared. "With practice, even you can control your Blue Matter." I didn't say anything, just nodded. "This Blue Matter is stronger than Red Matter. It can destroy beings. Be careful with it." "Uh, so I am a DreamMaire?" "No, Sophie, you're the Dream Maker." _______________________ Sophie Hazelwood, sixteen, just makes it in the world with her confident aura and weird humour. [Wattys2018 Shortlist] [Bootcamp Mentorship Mentee 2020] [Insidious Awards - 1st place/Action/Adventure] "Squinty, I... Help me! Please! You have to help me!" Squinty huffed at him as the horse might snort at an annoying fly it couldn't get rid of. "A...a... an apple," he stammered. "I just... stole an apple!" ---- When water is controlled by those in power, even a mere apple can be a catalyst. For Squinty, it was the start of everything. Finding Grizzly. Losing Roko. Becoming a Vigil. Discovering she had the power to become invisible. For Nalina, the threat of a new Water War was even closer to home; her beloved brother was the one initiating it. To Drian, water formed the core of his belief system, defined who was - and was not - worthy, and justified the treatment of the underground-dwelling Wellers. An orphan girl, determined to do what was right. A princess, petitioning for peace. An abbot, torn between his religion, and his experience. Each with an Etching, a unique power that surely makes them special; a tie to something more, something extra, something beyond the Squareworld.
