Godslayers is about correcting a mistake. A mistake made by three kid geniuses who inherited a Corporate Technology Empire. They attempt to utilize Dark Tech to change the world with a new generation of technologies. Most important of all this new tech was a clean, efficient and totally renewable source of energy given freely to the world, an attempt to usher Earth into a golden age. They never asked their selves if the world was ready. Battle after battle that claimed nations, oceans and a third of the world's population within one year. By the second year, only three factions remained, political amalgams of financial, military and technological interests. High casualty and destructive rates refined combat, and Dark Tech's emerging technologies- unbridled by energy restrictions- were corrupted into a new version of warfare. The BADB Frames took over the battlefield. Exoskeletal marvels- walking tanks. These suits made the soldiers of the future nearly invincible, while giving them destructive abilities of such raw power and precision that conflict was forever altered. The pilots of these suits were almost all pulled from a previously untapped civilian resource: gamers. Suddenly, age was not a restriction. What's left of Dark Tech exists in three Neutral Zones spread throughout the globe. Three "war free" zones that house civilians who wish to remain outside the war. But a shadow beneath what's left of the world's political system upsets this balance and a secret group known only as The Keepers push the factions past their fear of Dark Tech and into the zones of neutrality. Dark Tech unleashes a new faction on the world- a fighting force that has taken high technology and martial skill to a new level. A group of warrior monk gamers that once again change the face of battle and square off against the faction's armies single-handedly.

A story with careful planning, time manipulation, giant mechs, huge monsters, floating islands, tanks, cozy relationships, shadow organizations, mind control, and emotional strife alike. It takes all that to save the world, you know. Because otherwise, in two years, it'll all burn. Aemric was given that prophecy and two abilities: to see what will happen in the next few hours, and full bodily control over a few other people. It's a lot of responsibility for someone who hasn't even gotten the chance to graduate from college, but he *has* to make it work. Everything depends on that, even as morally-grey as his methods will have to be... Expect a lot of focus on the specifics: preparing a peaceful world for a war it could never see coming is no easy feat, especially when everyone thinks you're a jumped-up fortune teller using magic to invade peoples' minds. The world started anew 802 years ago. After unknown centuries of barbarism following The Fall of the old civilization, the first Towers rose from the ground in the ruins of ancient cities like Chicago and Phoenix. With the rise of the Towers came a measure of control over the Entropy that covered the lands. Where, before, this chaotic energy prevented any technology more complicated than a bow and arrow from functioning, suddenly the Order Fields of the Towers allowed cities to banish Entropy to varying degrees; allowing steam engines and muskets, or with higher Order, even assault rifles and electricity to be returned to the hands of humanity. With the rise of the Towers came something more than control of Order and Entropy. With the rise of the Towers came THE GRIIDLORDS. Each city was granted 5 Griidsuits, making superheroes of their wearers, individuals with remarkable powers, each the match of a 1000 fighting men. Tiberius has been pushed to compete for the Sword of Boston by his father. His father has amassed a great fortune as a merchant, he could buy and sell the castles and lands of the lords of the city, but there is one thing his money can't buy: nobility. Tiberius has been trained and honed to compete for the Griidsuit. Winning the suit comes with the founding of a new noble house that would satisfy his father's grandest ambitions. Tiberius must compete against the sons and daughters of noble houses. These youths that have been trained by the finest tutors. These youths come from lines of Griidlords themselves, they see the suit as their birthright. These youths come from a class that disdains the very notion of a commoner competing for the suit, no matter his wealth. Tiberius must navigate his own doubts, his own inadequacy, and see if he can grow enough in the precious days of the Choosing to become worthy of becoming The Sword of Boston.

The world is changing, two years ago strange weather, various anomalies and strange creatures started appearing from nowhere all over the world. Some creatures were completely alien and others were familiar looking as if they'd stepped from myth and legend. What many of these creatures had in common however was their aggressive nature and predatory instinct. Things that go bump in the night, that shifting shadow in the dark alley way, the cracking branch right behind you. Nightmarish creatures now stalk the land. Monsters. That isn't the only change in a new world however, humans have also changed. Some unknown phenomenon has granted humanity access to incredible power. The very elements themselves can now be wielded by those willing to risk the dangers. Earth, wind, fire, water, suddenly magic has become possible in a modern world and there are many who are eager to develop and embrace their newfound power and help protect their fellow man from monsters. There are also many who are willing to make a profit from newfound opportunities this changing world provides. Unfortunately for our MC Jack, embracing newfound power and going out to valiantly battle monsters isn't quite as simple as most other people have it. He possesses the rare and not so sought after lightning element, considered the weakest element for certain reasons, pitied and looked down upon Jack is determined to become a successful monster hunter in a more and more dangerous world. A slow burn story with world building, dungeon delving, character progression, Litrpg elements and more. WARNING - The MC is not a Mary Sue, he is not super competent, or super powerful or super intelligent nor a paragon of virtue, just a normal guy in a not so normal situation and him growing to deal with it in his own way.
