During a sluggish Sunday morning of cleaning up the Hall of Gamers' unkempt basement, Vernias discovers a magical mirror leading to another world. So, Brent, Nick, Vernias, and Sophist, along with their pets Croc, "Prince" Cuddles, Vernidee, and Muffins, enter it. What they came across after traveling across universes was something more horrific than they could ever imagine.

But Evie is too overwhelmed by her own emotions and the flood of memories drowning her to pay any attention to a human who has tripped up and fallen in love with her.
