Camille Davenport's mom has dreams for her daughter to eventually take over the family's very successful coffee shop, but that has never been Camille's dream. She doesn't even like coffee. But her mother considers her dreams childish and Camille feels too guilty to pursue them and leave her mother all alone.

Declan Caldwell can't say that his situation is much different from the interesting woman he met at the coffee shop. He, too, was learning to take over a business he had no desire to run. But her life still has hope and something about her and their similar paths makes him want to give her an opportunity to get started toward her real dreams.

But Camille's mother doesn't like the Caldwells, she made that known the minute she found out who Declan was. But neither Camille or Declan understand why, until they began to piece things together and learn how twisted of a fate their meeting was.
