The Last Craft follows Elias Berwick, a once-proud artisan whose livelihood is destroyed by the rise of machine mass production. Forced to sell his father's workshop, he takes a job at a factory. There, he and his fellow workers come to the grim realization that their labor will eventually be replaced by the cold efficiency of machines. In the face of unemployment and despair, Elias joins the growing resistance-swearing to destroy the very machines that have stolen his craft. Inspired by the Luddite Movement and 19th-century worker uprisings, this steampunk novel delves into the origins and struggles of early labor movements.
The Last Craft is set in Aelvos, a steampunk world of tyranny and oppression created by me. While technology flourishes with airships and mechanical devices at every turn, the common people see none of the benefits. Greedy and callous capitalists view workers as mere consumables-nothing more than raw materials in the production process. In this desperate world, the day will come when human labor is fully replaced by automated machines, and for the capitalists, the profits will soar, leaving workers to drown in the unforgiving tide of industrial progress.

"Mur'ring!" I yelled. "Wake up! Ra'dok got bit by a coyote." Mur'ring sprung to his feet. "Let me see." He inspected the wound with a bad look on his face. "We have to disinfect it."
"Yeah okay, whatever just help him he's bleeding out."
Mur'ring let go of Ra'dok's leg and turned to me, "you don't have to be an asshole, you asked me," he said. "Help him!" I yelled. Mur'ring walked to the back of the cell and moved a cement block from the wall. He pulled out a bottle of clear liquid. "I was saving this for a special occasion, but given the situation I guess-"
"Will you shut the fuck up and help him?!"
Mur'ring poured the liquid on the wound. Ra'dok yelled. A guard smacked the door. "Shut the hell up in there!" Mur'ring wrapped some cloth around the wound and Ra'dok stopped bleeding. He let Ra'dok take a few sips of the liquid, which made him gag but sedated him. After a while we all fell asleep.
I know it looks like this story is about Japan but it's not. The Lands of the Rising Sun are referring to the East Coast of the United States of America.
Set in a post apocalyptic world. Ma'tuk, Ra'dok and Mur'ring are three slaves that share a cell and work in the mining fields. They discover a secret and set in motion a series of events to jailbreak the slaves. The story is told in two parts. The second part follows a team of bounty hunters that find a valuable man and must nurse him back to health. In order to see a doctor they must embark on a mission to gain access to the doctor. This wonderful adventure is very graphic and explores aspects of the mind in terms of spirituality, the human condition and the fate of man.
