When Mandy loses her job, she thinks she’s hit rock bottom – until her plane is swallowed by a strange storm that sends her and everyone else on board 10,000 years into the future. At first, she thinks the scary world is nothing more than a bad dream. The war-torn Earth is unrecognizable. Black fog blocks the sun, and the oceans are dry. Even worse: the planet is inhabited by half-human, half-alien creatures dying from a mysterious disease. Horrified at the thought of spending her life here, she clings to the knowledge that there’s one man who can open the star gate to send her home. As the Naki prince who controls the star gate, Akkadi gets first choice of any human female that makes her way through the star gate. Only by breeding with purebred humans from the past can his race hope to remain immune to the disease and hopefully, develop an eventual cure. With shrinking resources and a raging battle for the human planet, dutiful, commanding Akkadi is less than thrilled at the idea of trying to figure out Mandy, a woman he views as wild with neither discipline nor respect for someone in his position. He’s ready to write her off, when she offers him something too tempting to resist: her body for the chance to convince him by any means possible to send her home. Neither intends for the arrangement to be permanent or to fall for the other. Only when Mandy learns Akkadi’s secret and walks away does he realize he’ll do whatever it takes to keep her – even if it means losing his war.

In a hospital room dimly lit by flickering lights, Alex grapples with the reality of his terminal illness after receiving devastating news from a doctor: he has only hours left to live. Surrounded by family members expressing their grief in different ways, he feels the weight of despair. His younger sister, Lily, clings to hope, contrasting with the resignation of their parents. As the pressure mounts, Alex considers giving up and seeks an escape from his suffering. In a moment of desperation, he leaves the hospital and finds himself on a bridge, contemplating a final act of release. Just as he prepares to jump, a strange notification interrupts his thoughts, and he plunges into darkness. Instead of death, Alex awakens in a mystical realm where he is welcomed by Seraphina, a guardian who informs him that he has been chosen to wield the power of Gluttony-a force representing insatiable hunger for life and experiences. In this new reality, Alex discovers he has a limited time to navigate his existence, represented by a glowing band on his wrist. He learns that he can extend his time by completing tasks and that his unique ability allows him to absorb the skills and memories of enemies he defeats. As he prepares to explore this enchanting yet perilous world, he feels a flicker of hope and the urge to reclaim his life, while also confronting the challenges that lie ahead. The journey of self-discovery and adventure begins, with the ticking clock reminding him of the urgency to embrace his newfound destiny.

Demalynn is a seventeen-year-old girl from a small town who one day hears a loud 'clack' and is transported to the planet Saffire. Naked. Then things really get weird. No child has ever been born on Saffire; clackers make up the entire population. All people who clack under thirty reverse age: each year they grow younger. As an awkward teenager plagued by panic attacks who dabbles in comedy, Demalynn just wants to go home to be re-united with her family. Citizens over thirty grow old and are forced to mine the mineral that powers giant cooling stations to keep the planet habitable. Citizens solve disputes with gladiatorial combat. The prophesy of The Coming In Saffire's time of greatest need, a child will be born to a special woman, the Gravidarum. The child, who has no father of this planet, will be known as the Unum, a child to lead Saffire. The Helper will battle to keep the Gravidarum safe until the Unum is born. The people of Saffire have been waiting to see The Coming fulfilled. Demalynn assembles a group of clackers to get her home, the most important of which is a fellow clacker: eighteen-year-old Aiden. It is not long before Jago, the ruler of Saffire, learns that a woman on Saffire is pregnant and he unleashes all his power to prevent the birth. Jago will not give up power. Demalynn is surprised to find out she is the Helper, but is astounded to learn the identity of the Gravidarum. Demalynn must battle to stay alive and fumbles towards the realization that Aiden is much more than a close friend. She is certain, with the certainty that only a seventeen-year-old can possess, that Aiden is her only true love. Demalynn is desperate to find a way back home until she must make a choice: stay with Aiden on Saffire or go back home and re-unite her family. There's no place like home.
