I was a soldier, for the country I was born and raised in. I was a soldier, for my countrymen who bravely fought alongside a powerful regime that was going to take over the world. An empire that would be ours.

Well, everything went wrong; soldiers who died for no reason. People who were murdered, whether by the enemy or by their own government. A punishment that no one should have deserved. A leader who abandoned us and betrayed his people.

And I was just a soldier. A small soldier who, amidst the flames of these ruins, was going to fall into this dark fate like the rest.

But in this new world, I am an adventurer, a person who really helps people. Someone who really likes to use their knowledge to fight monsters that are literally monsters.

Yes, I was a soldier, but now I am an adventurer.

Most days, you can find Mizuki Nekoyama in Hell, creeping through pitch-black passages, disabling deadly traps, and avoiding even-deadlier monsters. But that's the job of a Scout; highly-trained and extremely-capable individuals willing to brave the Depths in exchange for money, power and prestige. Most often, however, their careers are cut short between heartbeats if they let their guard down for just a single second. For the past five years, Mizuki, or 'Zen', has lived with the guilt that comes with losing her friends and lover inside one of the nation's Dungeons, and has searched far and wide for the person she believes is responsible for their tragic demise. She might be obsessive, compulsive, brutal, and slightly crazed, yet its exactly those traits which will allow her to progress in her mission; track down her quarry; and along the way found an organization capable of bringing entire nations to their knees. (Note: Cover Art ripped from a Google search. Whomever the creator is has an amazing talent, and I hope they go on to do Many Great Things.) DISCLAIMER, in BIG, BOLD LETTERS: This fictional tale deals with topics including, but not limited to: Slavery, Brutal uses of Swords and Magic, Murder, Racism, Sex, LGBT-Q, Political Intrigue, Rape, Torture, Bloody Slaughter, and much, much more. Every time I close my eyes, I see a flash of the past. Sometimes, I see the battlefield with bodies at every step, and smoke from artillery fire everywhere you looked. Sometimes I see friends, Odin, Michael, and even Azazel. But most of the time, I see a creature feared by all with blood red eyes and teeth as sharp as its claws. That creature is me, I fought in The Great War and I won it leaving behind a Legend told by all, a Legend that I left behind because of my sheer stupidity. However, Legends never die, and I'm no different. So I will return to amend mistakes and dethrone tyrants such as Lucifer. They feared me once, they will fear me again.
