Some places should not exist. Moments that slip between reality and something... other. The Astral Express was never meant to see it, never meant to know. Yet, for a fleeting instant, they did. And now, something knows them too.

Whispers of an unrecorded presence linger at the edges of thought-too vast, too incomprehensible to grasp. The Stellaron pulses with an unfamiliar resonance, drawing the Trailblazer toward something outside the reach of reason. A presence that does not destroy, but simply unmakes.

The universe has forgotten why it is afraid.

And now, it starts to remember.

Honkai Star Rail: Chained to the Aeon of Elation

5 parts Ongoing

Life had already ended for him, or at least, that's what he thought. Waking up in a pitch-black void, face-to-face with Aha, the Aeon of Elation, wasn't part of his afterlife plans. Aha, a being who does everything for his own joy and amusement, was infamous for his chaotic antics. This is the same Aeon who once turned a worm into an Emanator, granting it powers and intelligence beyond the average genius, just to see if it could join the Genius Society. And guess what? It didn't. The worm failed miserably, and Aha promptly took its gifts away, killing it. Now, this insane, unpredictable, and downright chaotic Aeon has decided to bring him back to life. Why? Because it's funny. And the best part of it is? Aha has bestowed him with the powers of an Emanator. Should I repeat? Aha has bestowed him with the powers of an Emanator. The problem? He doesn't want to live. After everything he's been through in life, death was a relief. But Aha doesn't care what he wants; the Aeon's only concern is their own amusement. And so, he's dropped onto a planet full of bounty hunters, criminals, and lunatics - people who want nothing more than to kill him. Great. With powers he barely understands, enemies at every turn, and an Aeon constantly watching for entertainment, all he really wants is to find a way to die again.
