I gasped as my back hit the cold wall, the space between us vanishing in a heartbeat. His hand rested beside my head, trapping me, his other hand brushing against my wrist-light, teasing, dangerous.

"You enjoy testing my patience, don't you?" Ranveer's voice was dark, laced with something unfamiliar.

I swallowed, the weight of his presence stealing my breath. "I-I don't know what you're talking about."
