The two cousins who used to fight over everything were now sitting side by side-getting married.

His voice was rough but firm.

It was done. No one blessed them. No one smiled. The only sound was a pen scratching against paper.

The door opened. Mehroz's father stepped inside. His face was cold, his voice even colder.

**"Rehan, behtar hoga ki tum apni biwi ko lekar yahan se chale jao. Abhi. Isi waqt."**
*(Rehan, it would be better if you take your wife and leave. Right now. This very moment.)*
