For years, Sunstreak was the only superhero in the world, blazing through the sky in his small town, fighting crime, starting first as a local legend, and eventually, inspiring an entire world that had never seen someone like him. With orange, energy-based powers he gained during high school, taking on the mantle of Sunstreak forced him to live a double life where he struggled with balance--almost to the point of hanging up the mantle for good. He recognized early on that he had never asked for his powers.
However, everything changes for Sunstreak when others like him begin to emerge-heroes and villains alike. Suddenly, the world is a wildly different place, and all eyes are on him to guide everyone into this new age. Compelled to join the elite superhero team Emission Control, Sunstreak must learn to fight alongside others, even when he'd rather stand alone--or, frankly, quit the job altogether.
Just when he starts to find his place, a mission goes wrong. Sunstreak is shot into another dimension-and he doesn't come back alone. Something dark has followed him back, something powerful enough to challenge every hero the world has ever known.
Now, Sunstreak must both lead the fight against the most powerful villain Earth has ever seen and fight the strong feelings of regret inside of him. With the fate of the world hanging in the balance, can the first hero prove he's still Earth's greatest hope? Or will the enemy he unleashed be its final downfall?
New chapters posted regularly. I love to get feedback of all sorts!
The first world was so determined to eliminate him and send him off to the next life, but it turns out that the world just despises him in general.
Who would have thought things would turn out like this? The world wavers, trying to come to terms with the entity that has emerged within it, and the only thing keeping this being at bay is its master-or perhaps a friend? Or maybe something more?
"{Giggle} Maybe you should consider taking a break for once, Master, instead of trying to impose the will of the god onto this poor clown. {Laughter} {Laughter}"
"And I still can't figure out why you keep saying what your doing all the time when I've fixed you over 30 times already.."
Who would have thought that this serious man, who goes out at night to put people in hospitals by breaking the bones of criminals, would eventually find at least some peace when meeting this silly maid a long time ago.
