Howling in January

Werewolves are real, they're as real as you or me. They just don't come around us humans as often as... other animals do. They just don't feel the need to mix with us humans... especially when we humans don't give a crap to they're well being. At least they don't mix with humans unless it's the full moon. That's the time when mating starts. And sometimes humans are destined mates of some werewolves. But that doesn't usually happen, and this story is not one of those cases. Although, my best friend is a werewolf, and this is her story. Her names Yla, it means 'to howl' in Swedish... But lets not discuss that, you'll probably think the stories more interesting.

I looked around at the stone walls around me. Where was I? The last thing I remembered was...

THAT night.

The night when the Bloodrain Alpha had destined me as his mate. That was bad... that was really, really bad...

The Bloodrain Pack was my pack's - the Brightmoon Pack's - biggest rival.

I knew my father - the ALPHA of the Brightmoon Pack - would be very angry at the prospect of having his daughter MATE with the Alpha of the Bloodrain Pack. He would be furious when he found out...

But WHERE was I?

The door to the stone room I was in opened, and the Alpha of the Bloodrain Pack entered. He walked over to me, his eyes fixed on me.

Horror filled me as I realized what had happened THAT night. He had KIDNAPPED me!

He stopped as he reached me and crouched down so that his eyes were locked with mine, and he putt his arms around me and pulled me towards him until I was pressed against his chest, too stunned to speak.

He whispers in my ear, and my heart skips a beat. "You are mine."
