Flame, a resident of this world of darkness, knows these facts all to well. She has since she was just a young girl. She had grown up without a real "family" other than friends, had lost the boy she had a crush on when she was just a kid, and had to grow up stealing just to get by.
Eventually, when she was only fifteen, she and the rest of her remaining friends joined the rebellion that hoped to overthrow the current order and establish something better in the Underworld. Flame worked day in and day out to help make her world something greater, eventually becoming the leader of said rebellion.
Things seemed a bit complicated in the young girl's life. That is, until one day when everything suddenly changed while she was on a mission... A day that everyone in the Underworld had been hoping for centuries.
