After a devastating family secret is exposed, Simone Buckley walks out of her parents' home and into silence. With her brother Evan and sister Maddie already estranged and unreachable, Simone makes a choice: to disappear completely. 

She changes her name to Simone Harrison and moves to another state, finding refuge with a distant relative she only recently discovered. There, she starts over-throwing herself into her medical residency and leaving the Buckley name behind.

When her residency collapses, Simone is faced with a choice between two hospitals-and two very different futures. One offers distance. The other, a second chance at family.
